Christopher Plaas is a young tenor that brings a vibrant energy to every note he sings. Comfortable in a variety of musical styles, he brings a fresh interpretation to the world of opera.

Chris recently covered the Conte d'Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and also performed the role of Monostatos with the Asheville Lyric Opera. He was a recent Apprentice Artist with the Indianapolis Opera where he covered the role of Alfredo and performed the role of Gastone in La Traviata.  He was an Artist with Teatro Nuovo under the direction of Maestro Will Crutchfield for their inaugural season. He will be appearing with Knoxville Opera in their production of Lucia di Lammermooor as Arturo Bucklaw in February and as Monostatos in Salt Marsh Opera's production of The Magic Flute in April. Christopher will also be featured this fall as a Tyler Young Artist with Opera on the James
