A young and vibrant Tenor, Christopher has entertained audiences throughout the United States and Europe. Christopher is a native of Johnson City, TN where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at East Tennessee State University. During his time at ETSU Christopher developed an interest in many different styles of ensemble music. Christopher was a select member of a vocal jazz ensemble, a barber shop quartet, the nationally recognized ETSU Men’s Ensemble and Chorale, and the Bucs Worth a capella ensemble. He was also a founding member of the Living Harmony gospel quartet which he still performs with today. While Christopher was earning his bachelor’s degree he was was asked to be a member of the professional men’s ensemble Brethren which is based out of Washington D.C. Through these ensembles Christopher has performed at two national conferences of the American Choral Director’s Association, a national conference of the Intercollegiate Male Choruses and multiple national barbershop competitions.

Christopher discovered his love for opera while earning his master’s degree at Appalachian State University. At App state, he was featured in multiple fully staged production’s and scenes programs as well as the select graduate quintet Quintessential! It was during his tenure at the Franco American Vocal Academy in Austria that Christopher developed an affinity for performing the works of Mozart and German culture.

In recent years Christopher has quickly gained recognition for his ability to portray the roles of Rossini and Mozart. His easy high notes and fluid coloratura make him ideal for the challenges associated with their music. Due to his love for the works of Mozart, Christopher has become proficient in the German language. He aspires to live and work in Europe where he can perform Mozart’s Operas in the land where they were written.

​Christopher has been featured as Vaşek in The Bartered Bride, The Sailor in Dido and Aeneas, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Bastien in Bastien und Bastienne, Dr. Engle in Der Schauspieldirektor, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, La Théière in L’enfant et les sortileges, Spärlich and Fenton in Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor with Theater Rudolstadt , Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with Scenic City Opera, as the cover for the Conte d'Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and as Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte with the Asheville Lyric Opera. In 2017 he was a Resident Artist with the Indianapolis Opera where he covered the role of Alfredo and appeared in the role of Gastone in Verdi's La Traviata. Christopher was recently an Apprentice Artist with Teatro Nuovo during its inaugural season of the Bel Canto Festival at Purchase College. He will be appearing as Arturo Bucklaw in Knoxville Opera's production of Lucia di Lammermoor in February and as Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte with Salt Marsh Opera in April. This fall he will be featured as Tyler Young Artist with Opera on the James.
